Our free school partnership programme uses Plate Up's recipe shopping technology to connect food education with the ingredients families and schools need to put it into practice.

And every eligible shop through Plate Up generates income for the school, at no extra cost.

From classroom to kitchen

Learning to cook is a skill for life and schools play a vital role in helping children understand food, learn practical cooking skills and build confidence in the kitchen, but we want to make it easier for that learning to continue at home too.

Through Plate Up, schools can connect families directly with recipes linked to what their children are learning in the classroom.

Parents and carers can access the recipes at home, choose something to cook together and add easily the ingredients they need straight to their supermarket basket.

This means less planning, less searching and more opportunities to get children cooking.

How it works

Learn at school

Children develop practical cooking skills and food knowledge through their school's food education programme. Where supported by the programme, teachers can also use Plate Up to make planning cookery lessons easier, with the ingredients they need for a whole class added to an online supermarket shop.

Keep cooking at home

Parents and carers create a free account and connect to their school, giving them access to relevant recipes and content linked to their child's learning.

They can then recreate recipes at home, practise new skills together and help turn classroom learning into everyday habits.

Shop in a few taps

Choose a recipe and Plate Up makes getting started easy, adding the ingredients you need straight to your supermarket basket alongside your usual grocery shop. Plate Up is completely free to use, with no subscription.

Generate funds for your school

Every eligible shop made through Plate Up generates income for the participating school, at no extra cost to families. So the same shop that gets everyone cooking can give something back to the school too.
