Mince meat is a great ingredient to use in easy family dinners. It's a tasty, familiar ingredient this is a great way to use it outside of classic dishes like spaghetti bolognese and chilli. This recipe is also brilliant for batch cooking.

Ingredients
lamb mince 400 g
onion 1 (diced)
bell pepper 1 (diced)
tomato purée 1 tbsp
dried oregano 1 tsp
ground cumin 1 tsp
smoked paprika 1 tsp
garlic cloves 2 (crushed)
ginger 15 g (grated)
chicken stock cube 1
chickpeas 400 g (drained)
harissa paste 1 tsp
chopped tomatoes 400 g
sugar pinch
couscous 200 g
Method
Dice the onion and bell pepper. Crush the garlic cloves.
Add the lamb mince, onion, bell pepper and all other ingredients except the cous cous to the slow cooker pot. Give it a good stir to mix everything together. Pop the lid on and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
Once the stew is nearly done, cook the cous cous according to the packet instructions.
Add a pinch of sugar or honey to sweeten the stew, depending on how you like it. Serve up with the cous cous and enjoy!
