Ingredients
onion 1 (diced)
carrot 1 (diced)
garlic cloves 2 (crushed)
spaghetti 300 g
pork sausages 400 g
chopped tomatoes 400 g
tomato purée 1 tbsp
Worcester sauce 1 tbsp
Parmesan 60 g
Method
Prep the ingredients & cook the pasta
Peel and dice the onion. Finely chop the carrot. Peel and crush the garlic.
Cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions. Drain when cooked.
Cook the bolognese
While the spaghetti is cooking, heat a glug of oil to a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the onions and carrots and fry for 5-6 minutes until they start to soften. Add the garlic and fry for another minute.
Add the sausages, and as they cook break them up with the back of a spoon. Cook until browned, around 5 minutes.
Stir in the chopped tomatoes, tomato puree and a splash of Worcestershire sauce and season to taste with salt and pepper. Leave to simmer for 5 - 7 minutes.
Plate up
